Grammar is a fundamental component of language that accompanies you throughout the first two years of the LMD program. It constitutes an essential tool for developing your comprehension and expression skills, both oral and written. It enables you to better analyze the texts you read and listen to, and to improve the quality of your linguistic productions.

This grammar course has been designed to help you progressively acquire the foundations necessary for mastering how the language functions. From the first year, you will work on fundamental notions in order to understand sentence structure, identify the grammatical nature of words, and distinguish their syntactic functions. You will also learn how to establish logical relationships between the different elements of a sentence.

The grammar module is organized into several learning units that will enable you to build solid skills in grammatical analysis and in producing correct sentences. These skills will be applied across all your language modules, particularly in text comprehension, written production, and oral expression.

This course will also help you develop a rigorous approach to language, which is essential for progressing in your university studies and improving your overall mastery of the English language, while respecting the rules of coherence, precision, and linguistic accuracy expected in your productions.
