Technical English and Terminology

The main purpose of this course is to familiarize the students with engineering vocabulary and enrich their language skills. A variety of topics related to Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on geotechnical concepts and issues, will be examined either in the form of texts or short videos. Interactive discussions over each subject will be encouraged to strengthen the students' communication skills. At the end of the course, the ability of the students to read, understand and extract information either from a written document or an audiovisual session will be improved.
