General Objectives

At the end of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Understand the various integrated functions of combinational logic (encoding, decoding, transcoding, information transfer circuits, arithmetic circuits).
  • Describe the operation of a finite automaton.
  • Differentiate between an asynchronous circuit and a synchronous circuit.
  • Synthesize a simple synchronous sequential circuit.
  • Analyze a simple synchronous sequential circuit.
