Module Title: English for Monetary and Financial Economics
Module Description: This module provides university students with the English language skills necessary to understand and communicate key concepts in Monetary and Financial Economics. It covers essential vocabulary, terminology, and communicative practices used in finance and economics, preparing students to engage effectively in academic and professional settings within this field.
Key Focus Areas:
Fundamental Concepts and Vocabulary: Students will learn and practice essential economic and financial terms, including topics like money markets, financial instruments, inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, and monetary policy.
Reading and Comprehension of Financial Texts: Through structured readings of articles, reports, and case studies, students will develop skills in analyzing financial documents and interpreting monetary policy statements, market analyses, and economic forecasts.
